SUNNY, WARM WEEKEND AHEAD: If you are enjoying the weather across Alabama this afternoon, you will love the weekend. An upper ridge will keep the weather warm and dry with mostly sunny days and fair highs; look for highs in the 83-87 degree range both days. It will be the warmest weekend so far this year.

We will bring in a chance of showers Monday night into Tuesday of next week as a weakening cold front moves through, but with limited moisture and dynamic support, rain amounts will be light. The rest of the week will be dry. And, still no sign of any severe weather threats for Alabama for the next ten days.

RACE WEEKEND: The weather will be warm and dry over the weekend at Talladega. For the Geico 500 Sunday, the sky will be partly to mostly sunny with temperatures in the 82-85 degree range. Morning lows at the Superspeedway will be close to 60 degrees.

FOOTBALL WEATHER: The Birmingham Stallions will host the Houston Gamblers tomorrow evening (6:00p CT kickoff at Protective Stadium)… the sky will be mostly clear with temperatures falling from 83 at kickoff, into the upper 70s by the second half.
