TODAY: Wet snowflakes mixed with sprinkles this morning exits early. Otherwise clouds, giving way to intervals of sun away from the mountains. Temperatures ranging mostly in the mid to upper 30s cooling slightly this afternoon. Winds becoming northwesterly 10 to 20 mph.

TONIGHT NEW YEARS EVE: Mostly clear & “moonlit skies”. A low mid-teens to around 20. Light northwest winds.

FRIDAY New Year’s Day: Sunshine gives way to thickening high cloudiness late. A high around 32. Light west to northwest winds.

FRIDAY NIGHT: Overcast. Snow likely developing toward midnight. About 1 to 2 inches accumulation. A low in the upper 20s.

SATURDAY: Overcast. Periods of accumulating snow likely moderate at times in the morning. Additional 2 to 3 inches northern areas. A wintry mix of snow, sleet and spotty freezing rain with lesser accumulations southern areas with slick travel. A high around 32 degrees.

SUNDAY: Morning sun, then clouding up. Rising chance for light accumulating snow in the afternoon. A low 20 to 25. A high in the low 30s.

MONDAY: Chance for accumulating snow or snow showers…exiting in the afternoon to intervals of sun. Perhaps a couple to a few inches accumulation possible. A low upper 20s. A high 30 to 35.
