Showers and thunderstorms ending this morning and early afternoon from west to east and then Hurricane Lee approaches for Saturday…

The showers and thunderstorms will end this morning and early afternoon from west to east as a cold front passes through our area. Highs will be in the mid 70’s to low 80’s.

Tomorrow and Friday will be mostly sunny with highs in the upper 60’s to mid 70’s tomorrow and the upper 60’s to low 70’s Friday.

Saturday will be windy with a chance of showers, especially on Eastern Long Island and in Fairfield County, CT, as Hurricane Lee passes just to the east of Cape Cod. Winds could gust to 50 mph on Eastern Long Island, 40 mph in Fairfield County, CT, and 30 mph elsewhere. Highs will be in the mid 60’s to mid 70’s.

Sunday will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm at night as a disturbance approaches from the west. Highs will be in the 70’s.

On Monday there will be a chance of showers or thunderstorms ending in the late afternoon and evening from west to east as the disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the low to mid 70’s.

Tuesday through next Thursday, September 21st, will be nice with highs in the 70’s Tuesday and next Wednesday, and the low to mid 70’s next Thursday.

Next Friday, September 22nd, will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm as a cold front passes through our area. Highs will be in the upper 60’s to mid 70’s.

Next Saturday, September 23rd and next Sunday, September 24th, will be variably cloudy with highs in the low to mdi 70’s next Sunday and the 70’s next Monday.

Next Tuesday, September 25th, will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm. Highs will be in the 70’s.
