Heavy rain and strong winds tonight will likely cause some serious problems, with more heavy rain likely Friday night, although nowhere near as bad as tonight, followed by a chance for snow on Tuesday…
There will be heavy rain and strong winds tonight with 1.5 to 3 inches of rainfall throughout our area and then it will become windy at night with gusts up to 55 mph possible in Eastern PA, Northwestern NJ, Southeastern NY State, and in Fairfield County, CT, up to 65 mph possible in Southwestern and Northeastern NJ, and NYC, and up to 75 mph possible along the NJ Coast and on Long Island. There could also be up to 2 inches of snow in the higher eleva4tions of Northeastern PA at the start.
Flooding and power outages are a real possibility with the strong winds and heavy rain.

Tomorrow and Thursday will then be nice, followed by more heavy rain Friday night.
Saturday through Monday will then be nice, but with colder temperatures arriving Sunday.
Next Tuesday, January 16th there will be a chance for snow in the morning as a disturbance may pass southeast of our area and it will be cold.
It will remain cold but nice next Wednesday January 17th through next Monday, January 22nd.
