Another Significant Snowstorm Tomorrow in a Large Part of Our Area…

A disturbance will pass through our area from west to east tomorrow, bringing another significant snowstorm to East Central and Northeastern PA, Northwestern NJ, Southeastern NY State and Northern Fairfield County, CT, with a mixture of rain and snow in Central and Northeastern NJ, NYC, Western Long Island, and in Southern Fairfield County, CT, and rain to Coastal NJ and on Eastern Long Island. The snow could change to rain before ending throughout our area. Highs tomorrow will be in the 30’s to low 40’s.

Estimated start times for snow:

9-11 am:  East Central and Northeastern PA

10-11:30 am:  Northwestern and West Central NJ

11 am-noon:  Northeastern NJ and Southeastern NY State

Noon-1pm:  Fairfield County, CT

Estimated start time for a mixture of rain and snow:

Between 11 am and noon:  East Central NJ, NYC, and Western Long Island

Estimated start time for rain:

Between noon and 1pm:   Coastal NJ and Eastern Long Island

Estimated precipitation end times:

2-4 pm:  East Central and Northeastern PA

4-5 pm:  Northwestern NJ and Orange County, NY

5-6 pm:  West Central and Northeastern NJ, NYC, Rockland, and Putnam Counties in NY State

6-7 pm:  East Central NJ, Westchester County, NY, Western Long Island, and Fairfield County, CT

7-8 pm:  Eastern Long Island

Total possible snowfall accumulation:

Trace to an inch or two:  West Central and Northeastern NJ, NYC, Southern Westchester County, NY, Southern Fairfield County, CT

2-4 inches:  Orange, Rockland, Putnam, and Northern Westchester Counties in NY State

2-5 inches:  North Central NJ (including Central and Northern Hunterdon, Northern Somerset, far Western Essex, Central Passaic, and Western Bergen Counties in NJ)

3-6 inches:  Northeastern PA and Northwestern NJ (including far Northern Hunterdon County, NJ)

4-8 inches:  East Central PA (including Schuylkill, Carbon, and Monroe Counties in PA)

Tuesday will then be variably cloudy with a chance of a rain or snow shower as a weak disturbance passes to our north. Highs will be in the upper 30’s to mid 40’s.

Wednesday will be mostly sunny with highs in the mid 40’s to low 50’s.

Thursday will be variably cloudy with a chance of a rain or snow shower or sprinkle or flurry in the morning as a cold front passes through or area. Highs will be in the upper 30’s and 40’s.

Friday will be variably cloudy with highs in the 30’s.

Saturday will be variably cloudy with a chance of a rain or snow shower as a warm front may pass through our area. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to low 40’s.

Next Sunday, February 28th and next Monday, March 1st, will be variably cloudy with a chance of a rain shower. Highs will be in the mid 40’s to low 50’s next Sunday and the mid 40’s to low 50’s next Monday.

Next Tuesday, March 2nd into the morning of next Wednesday March 3rd, there will be a chance of rain or snow as a disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s.

Next Thursday, March 4th, will be variably cloudy with highs in the mid 40’s to low 50’s.

Next Friday, March 5th, and next Saturday, March 6th, are then looking variably cloudy with a chance of a rain or snow shower. Highs will be in the 40’s.
