Sunday Brunch Update: Nary a Cloud in the Sky : The Alabama Weather Blog

1 min read

We can’t find a cloud in the sky across North or Central Alabama just after the noon hour.

Temperatures are in the 80s, with the only exception being atop Sand Mountain in Marshall County where a lone 79F reading was found. Highs will top out in the upper 80s north, with lower 90s across Central Alabama.

Dewpoints are in the upper 50s for the most part, making the heat not as unbearable as it will become in the next few days. Dewpoints will rise back into the humid 60s starting tomorrow and lasting the rest of the week.

The next real chance of rain will not arrive until Saturday afternoon it appears.

Heat index values will be climbing, approaching heat advisory categories starting Wednesday, especially across southwestern portions of the area.
