Heavy rain with flooding possible tomorrow night into Tuesday along the coast and on Long Island, with a slight chance in the rest of our area as well…
A cold front and disturbance approaching from the west will team up with a hurricane well out to sea and a developing tropical system in the Gulf of Mexico to bring our area a chance for heavy rain tomorrow night into Tuesday, especially near the coast and on Long Island.
This situation needs to be watched closely as rainfall amounts could be quite heavy in parts of our area. It is however still uncertain as to exactly where these areas will be, however the highest likelihood is currently near the coast and on Long Island.
The system currently located just east of the Yucatan Peninsula will head northward into the Eastern Gulf of Mexico tomorrow, likely developing into a hurricane Tuesday before making landfall near Cross City, Florida. Luckily the majority of effects from this system should remain south of our area Wednesday and Thursday

After that, things are actually looking really nice around here. We do however need to first get past this flooding potential tomorrow night and Tuesday, so be sure to check back for updates.
