Strong Storms Affecting Cullman County : The Alabama Weather Blog

730 PM CST…

At 658 PM CST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Sipsey, or 8 miles north of Sumiton, moving northeast at 65 mph.

Penny size hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with
this storm.

Locations impacted include…
Hanceville, Dodge City, Garden City, Colony, Walter, Wilburn, Bremen,
Arkadelphia, Black Bottom and Smith Lake.


Strong gusty winds will be capable of knocking down small tree limbs
along with other small unsecured items. Seek safe shelter until this
storm has passed.
