WASHINGTON — After a stretch of 70-degree sunny days leading up to Easter Sunday, the new work week started with an unexpected sight for some of our neighbors. Parts of Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia picked up some significant April snow on Monday as an area of low pressure moved through the area.

But just as quickly as the snow fell Monday, it will melt. The sun angle is very powerful this time of the year so by Tuesday, it will be like none of this ever happened.
However, it will still feel far from spring-like, as temperatures will stay in the 40s and 50s with very gusty winds. So keep that winter jacket handy, at least for now!
