Question about when the sun comes out under the clouds at sunset : meteorology
1 min read
I’ve been wondering this for years. I live in Seattle which is often cloudy this time of year.
But often, just in the last 10 minutes before the sun goes behind the mountains and sets it will shine out from under our cloud layer. I can see the sky lightening now above the mountains (it’s 4 pm).
Is there a term for it? I’ve searched for years, my family has searched. It often results in dramatic, yet short, sunsets.
