Non-meteorologist here wondering how this happens?

Just looked at my local forecast and saw this anticipated spike in temp and dew point overnight on Wednesday. Given the typical pattern of warmer days, colder nights, why is it that this sort of thing happens? Is it directly related to precipitation?
