Heavy rain possible in Southern NJ, near the coast, and on Long Island tomorrow…
There will be a chance of a shower or thunderstorm today, then heavy rain will be possible tomorrow in Southern NJ, near the coast, and on Long Island as we will be sandwiched between Hurricane Franklin in the Atlantic, Tropical Storm, soon to be Hurricane Idalia in the Gulf of Mexico, and a cold front approaching from the west. The heavy rain could cause flooding in Southern NJ, near the coast, and on Long island tomorrow.

The cold front will pass through our area Wednesday morning, clearing us out and keeping the remnants Idalia to our south. Highs will be in mainly in the mid 70’s to low 80’s today through Wednesday.
Thursday through Saturday will then be nice behind the cold front with highs gradually rising from the 70’s Thursday, to the mid to upper 70’s Friday, and the mid 70’s to low 80’s Saturday.
Sunday will then be variably cloudy with aa chance of an afternoon or evening shower or thunderstorm as a weak cold front passes through our area. Highs will be in the upper 70’s to mid 80’s.
Labor Day through next Thursday, September 7th will then be nice and warmer behind the cold front (I know that makes no sense, but what else is new?) with highs in the 80’s, but possibly reaching the low 90’s next Tuesday in parts of our area.
Next Friday, September 8th through next Sunday, 10th, are currently looking variably cloudy with a chance of an afternoon or evening shower or thunderstorm each day. Highs will generally be in the low to mid 80’s.
