Temperatures will climb day by day this week before ending up in the 60s by Friday.
WASHINGTON — It may still look like winter from all of the snow that fell last week, but meteorologists say there will be a big melt this week.
Tuesday will feature increasing clouds with temperatures right where they should be for January 23rd, topping off around 44 degrees in the afternoon. But temperatures will really start to rise during the second half of the week.
In addition to the rising temperatures, we also have multiple days with rain on the way. Wednesday will feature a few scattered showers throughout the afternoon with a round of steadier rain possible around dinner time. Both Thursday and Friday will be quite damp with rounds of light to moderate rain expected throughout each day.
