Excessive Heat Warnings Issued & Expanded; Heat Advisory Extended : The Alabama Weather Blog

NWS Birmingham has extended the Excessive Heat Warning until 9 pm Sunday night for Autauga, Barbour, Bibb, Bullock, Chilton, Coosa, Dallas, Elmore, Fayette, Greene, Hale, Jefferson, Lamar, Lee, Lowndes, Macon, Marengo, Montgomery, Perry, Pickens, Pike, Russell, Shelby, Sumter, Tallapoosa, Tuscaloosa, and Walker counties in Central Alabama, and expands it to now include Blount, Clay, Marion, St. Clair, Talladega, and Winston counties.

The Heat Advisory has also been extended until 9 pm Sunday night for Calhoun, Chambers, Cherokee, Cleburne, Etowah, and Randolph counties in Central Alabama.

NWS Huntsville has issued an Excessive Heat Warning for Colbert, Cullman, Franklin, Lauderdale, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison, Marshall, and Morgan counties in North Alabama until 9 pm Sunday night. Heat index values will reach 105-113º.
