NWS Birmingham has issued a Dense Fog Advisory for the following counties in Central Alabama until 8:00 am Sunday: Bibb, Blount, Calhoun, Cherokee, Chilton, Cleburne, Etowah, Fayette, Greene, Hale, Jefferson, Lamar, Marengo, Marion, Perry, Pickens, Shelby, St. Clair, Sumter, Talladega, Tuscaloosa, Walker, and Winston.
…DENSE FOG ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 AM CST SUNDAY…
* WHAT…Visibility less than one quarter mile in dense fog.
* WHERE…Portions of central Alabama, especially near and north
of the Interstate 20 corridor. The dense fog advisory may need
to be expanded to areas farther south and east later tonight.
* WHEN…Until 8 AM CST Sunday.
* IMPACTS…Hazardous driving conditions due to low visibility.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…
If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of
distance ahead of you.
