Daily Rainfall Forecast : meteorology

Hi all,

Trying to get my weather geek on and predict the amount of “virtual water” in a household rainwater tank – that is, a probabilistic forecast of what has not yet fallen.

AccuWeather used to provide a suitable dataset, with mm of hourly rain forecast for the next 72 hours or so, and I think, daily totals expected going out for 14 days or so.

They do not provide that now, despite me finding it really useful to eyeball.

Does anyone know of any leads to something similar that exists nowadays – ideally a weather forecasting service that provides an API (interface for a computer program to pull data from) with that sort of information?

I am in Brisbane, Australia for what it is worth.
