The National Weather Service in Huntsville has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for…
Central Cullman County in north central Alabama…
* Until 600 PM CDT.
* At 257 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain from Cullman to near Hanceville. Between 1 and 2.5
inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts around 1
inch or more are possible in these areas. Flash flooding is
ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD…Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE…Radar.
IMPACT…Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include…
Cullman, Hanceville, Good Hope, Dodge City, Garden City, Phelan
and Black Bottom.
