Breath of the Wild’s dominating weather pattern? : meteorology

For a long time I’ve been trying to figure it out to no avail as some things about the geography/position of the sun.etc do not make sense yet in other ways it’s a pretty realistic system except when you climb 200 feet and now need a cooling or warming elixer.

Any thoughts or pointers here to try and figure this puzzle out?

This is actually the worst puzzle of the entire game not the Shrines or Koroks.
