A Question regarding ground based radar images

When viewing ground based radar images, sometimes there will be lines emanating from a central point and they do not move ever. I know nothing of how radar works, but if I had to venture a guess I'd likely say that it is something to do with the dome protecting the radar itself, maybe a weld seam? If anyone knows the answer please share.
