6-Day forecast for the Philadelphia, PA metro region

Patchy fog early in the day then becoming partly sunny, a bit milder, but still on the cool side of normal, slight chance of PM showers, highs in the lower 60’s (normal high at PHL is 72 degrees); N-NW winds around 5 mph

Mainly cloudy, chilly, slight chance of an evening shower, lows near 40 degrees

Patchy fog possible early then becoming partly-to-mostly sunny, milder, upper 60’s for afternoon highs

Saturday Night

Mainly clear, chilly, mid 40’s for late night lows

Mainly sunny, comfortable, cannot rule out a couple of PM showers, maybe even an afternoon or evening thunderstorm, lower 70’s

Partly sunny, warm, cannot rule out a few showers, maybe even a thunderstorm, mid 70’s

Mainly cloudy, warm, chance of showers and thunderstorms, lower 70’s

Partly sunny, cooler, chance of showers, mid-to-upper 60’s

An upper-level low pressure system continues to push slowly away from the coast and high pressure will build into the region for the weekend.  As a result, today will be a bit on the cool side of normal with a slight chance for a PM shower and Saturday is likely to be the nicest day in quite awhile across the Mid-Atlantic region. The weather for Sunday and Monday should feature comfortably warm conditions, but a couple of disturbances can bring scattered showers to the region on both days, maybe even a thunderstorm or two. Showers and thunderstorms are even more likely on Tuesday with the approach of a frontal system and it should turn cooler again by the middle of next week.
