Here we are in the second half of April and significant accumulating snow is on the table for later today and tonight across interior sections of the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast US.  Around here, a soaking cold rain is coming from late today into early Tuesday as a strong storm pushes to the northeast near and along the east coast. Significant accumulating snow will fall during this storm across upstate New York with 6-12 inches possible in some areas. It remains unusually chilly on Tuesday with partial sunshine and windy conditions. High pressure will return for the mid-week and it’ll turn milder with 70 degree highs returning late in the week.
