6-Day forecast for the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania metro region

Mainly cloudy this morning with a few showers, partly sunny and warmer this afternoon with highs near 70 degrees; W-NW winds around 5 mph

Partly cloudy, cool, lows in the lower 50’s

Partly sunny, warm, an afternoon shower or thunderstorm possible, upper 70’s for afternoon highs

Wednesday Night

Mainly cloudy, mild, still the chance of a shower or thunderstorm, near 60 degrees for late night lows

A mix of clouds and sun, warm, breezy, chance of a shower and thunderstorm, upper 70’s

Mainly sunny, not as warm, mid-to-upper 60’s

Partly sunny, mild, chance of showers, mid 60’s

Partly sunny, cooler, mid-to-upper 50’s

High pressure pushes off the coast today and that re-positioning will open the door here for much warmer weather during the next few days. After morning clouds and showers, the afternoon will feature clearing skies and temperatures will jump to the 70 degree mark. On Wednesday and Thursday, it turns even warmer with a run to 80 degrees on the table each day and there can be a shower and thunderstorm from time-to-time. A cool front passes through on Thursday night and the work week will end cooler and then a second cold front likely ushers in colder air for Easter Sunday.
