Discussion

After what will turn out to be a pretty decent day on Tuesday, our unsettled weather pattern will make a return for the mid and late week as a nor’easter forms with the arrival of a chilly air mass. This storm will bring more rain to the I-95 corridor and some accumulating snow to portions of the interior and higher-elevation Northeast US. Low pressure will push towards the Mid-Atlantic coastline late Wednesday and then intensify on Thursday as it pushes slowly to the north and east. Given a strong blocking pattern aloft over Canada/Greenland, this storm may have a prolonged impact on the Northeast US late in the week with chilly, unsettled conditions. Additional chilly air masses are likely to drop into the central and eastern US from Canada for much of the remainder of the month of April.
