Discussion

The warming trend that began at mid-week will continue today and afternoon temperatures are likely to peak in the low-to-mid 70’s.  It does turn a tad cooler on Saturday, but then a surge in temperatures on Sunday could result in afternoon highs not far from the 85 degree mark.  Looking ahead, we are not quite done yet with the cold shots from Canada and another such air mass featuring below-normal temperatures will arrive here by the middle of next week and stick around into the subsequent weekend.
