Discussion

Low pressure will intensify off the Mid-Atlantic coastline today and can produce a few showers around here, but the steadiest rainfall will occur to our north and east. This system will also end up producing some accumulating snow in the higher elevation interior locations of New York State and New England (great news for skiers). We’ll experience windy and chilly conditions here on Friday following the departure of the storm system and the weekend is looking quite promising with some sunshine likely on both days and rather mild temperatures. Longer term, it looks like additional chilly air masses are likely to drop into the central and eastern US from Canada during the remainder of the month of April.
