6-Day forecast for the New York City metro region

Mainly cloudy in the morning with a chance of residual showers, maybe even a thunderstorm, partial sunshine develops for the afternoon, warm, highs in the low-to-mid 80’s; Light and variable winds in the morning; W-NW winds at 5-10 mph in the afternoon

Mainly clear, becoming noticeably cooler and less humid, lows not far from 60 degrees

Mainly sunny, nice, lower 80’s for afternoon highs

Wednesday Night

Mainly clear, mild, near 60 degrees for late night lows

Mainly sunny, pleasant, breezy, mid-to-upper 70’s

Mainly sunny, still quite nice, mid 70’s

Mainly sunny, comfortably warm, near 80 degrees

Mainly sunny, warm, lower 80’s

A cold front will slide across the region today and it’ll usher in a refreshing air mass for the Mid-Atlantic region with lowering humidity and a crisp fall-like night is on the way.  High pressure will control the weather on Wednesday and then a secondary (and dry) cool front pushes through on Wednesday night. The remainder of the week looks quite nice with high pressure remaining in control and it could very well stick around right through the upcoming weekend.
