Discussion

A very comfortable air mass will stick around for another day in the Mid-Atlantic region with pleasant temperatures and low humidity levels; however, there are big changes on the way. A warm front will work its way through the region during the next 24 hours or so bringing with it some shower activity tonight and on Thursday.  Following the passage of the warm front, the hottest weather so far this season will push into the area for Friday and Saturday with middle 90’s possible by Saturday afternoon. Another cold front will arrive later Sunday – likely with afternoon/evening showers and thunderstorms – and its passage will usher in cooler air once again for the eastern states by the early part of next week.
