6-Day forecast for the Washington, D.C. metro region

Partly sunny, hot, highs not far from 95 degrees; W-NW winds around 5 mph

Mainly cloudy, mild, lows near 70 degrees

Partly sunny, breezy, not as warm, low-to-mid 80’s for afternoon highs

Tuesday Night

Partly cloudy, mild, mid 60’s for late night lows

Mainly sunny, nice, lower 80’s

Partly sunny, warmer, maybe a shower, low-to-mid 80’s

Partly sunny, quite warm, chance of showers, lower 90’s

Partly sunny, not as warm, low-to-mid 80’s

A cool front will push through the region tonight and our flirtation with the 95 degree mark for afternoon highs will be just a one-day affair. Following the passage of the cool front, the next couple days will feature more seasonal temperatures as high pressure builds into the Mid-Atlantic region.
