Discussion
A very chilly air mass has invaded Florida and near freezing temperatures are possible late tonight in many spots. Conditions will be quite favorable in the overnight hours for a significant drop in temperatures with mainly clear skies and a chilly air mass firmly in place across central Florida. In the far northern areas, a “freeze warning” is in effect for late tonight in Lake and Volusia (inland) counties where temperatures could drop to the freezing mark. There is also a chance for patchy frost in some of the far northern areas, but the air mass is quite dry limiting those chances.
