Discussion

A heavy rain event is headed to the Mid-Atlantic region as strong low pressure pushes to a position just off the coast by early Saturday. The rain will develop later tonight and continue through Saturday, heavy at times, with two to as much as four inches on the table by tomorrow night… watch for localized flooding. Behind the storm, a chilly air mass flows into the area on Sunday and there will be a stiff NW wind gusting up to 35 mph or so to make it feel even colder than the actual air temperatures.
