Following the passage of the cold front late next week, colder air will push into the eastern US and this could influx could be the beginning of a more sustained cold weather pattern for the central and eastern states. Looking ahead, cross-polar flow may form later in the month which would assure the movement of some real cold air from polar regions into Canada and perhaps ultimately into the northern US.
