FORECAST DISCUSSION

Unsettled weather is on repeat again Thursday. The chance for showers and storms remain as the front remains stalled to our north.

Thursday night a cold front finally passes through the region, bringing less humid air to the Metro Area Friday. Ahead of the front we could see some severe weather. Key timing is 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.  Highs will climb into the upper 80s to low 90s.

The Storm Prediction Center has placed D.C. Metro in the “Slight Risk” category for severe storms Thursday.  Threats include damaging winds and hail.  These storms may also produce heavy downpours.
