CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) – Thunderstorms will rumble across areas mainly north of Interstate 80 to start the day Monday. Some of those will produce heavy rain early on. As the morning continues, these will weaken.
The majority of the rain and storms will be gone around the midday hours, although additional storms should develop later on today. Southern Iowa has the best chance of having that happen. Highs will range from the upper 70s in the far north to the middle 80s south.
A storm chance continues tonight, mainly in southern Iowa, and will push southward as the night goes on. Tomorrow looks like a partly cloudy day with highs close to 80. In fact, the rest of the week should be fairly quiet with partly to mostly sunny skies and highs in the 80s.
