FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ABC21) – Folks across the Summit City gathered at the 4th Annual Weather the Fort celebration despite the colder temperatures.
Event coordinators said the event was created by a group of folks who wanted to celebrate the winter season. They said other cities had winter celebrations and they wanted to bring the idea to Fort Wayne.
Coordinators said around 2,000 folks attended the event last year. They said they estimated the same total number of participants at this year’s celebration.
Folks enjoyed food and drinks from ten different vendors.
Three different bands played live music for the crowds throughout the night, according to event coordinators.
Coordinators said they also had a firework show to entertain people.
Coordinators said the purpose of this year’s event was to bring people together to celebrate the winter season and bring joy to people’s faces.
The event began at 4 P.M. and ended at 10 P.M.
