WEATHER: Sunshine and warmer temps Wednesday afternoon

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — We made it to the middle of the work week! The warm up continues through Thursday with beautiful sunshine until then. Our next front brings another chance for showers by Friday, but we’re drier just in time for Easter weekend.

Spring Breakers will be able to enjoy the coast for the next few days with highs in the middle to upper 70s; upper 70s to lower 80s inland. Take it easy at the beaches, however, with a strong swell meaning a high risk of rip currents and some rough surf.

The front will be on our doorstep early Friday morning with increasing clouds and a thin line of precipitation setting up ahead of it. The showers will reach southeast Georgia by the mid-morning hours before it shifts southeast across our Florida counties by the afternoon hours. Skies will begin to clear from northwest to southeast by Friday evening.

Dry and seasonable conditions for Easter weekend! Sunshine is expected along with lows in the 50s and highs in the 70s. First light on Easter morning is 6:35 a.m. Sunrise is 7:16 a.m. We’ll warm back into the 80s by the start of a new work week.
