The National Weather Service offices in Huntsville and Mobile have gotten numerous reports of storm damage in both north and south Alabama as severe storms rolled through earlier today.
The weather service said it has sent out survey teams in both areas to take a closer look and determine if tornadoes touched down.
One team from Huntsville was looking at damage in Franklin and Colbert counties.
Another group from Mobile was looking at damage in Mobile County, and if time allows the team will head to Baldwin County as well.
If tornadoes did touch down, the survey teams will work to determine how strong they were.
Updates will be issued as the survey teams gather information.
