Clouds and a few flurries were pushing into the region this morning from the west. Light snow showers are possible as this small disturbance pushes through, mainly in the Northwoods. The whole area will see gradual clearing by late morning, and this afternoon should be partly cloudy. Southerly winds will pick up speed and carry in some warmer air, allowing temperatures to get close to 30° today. Lows will drop to the mid to upper teens tonight.
Even warmer temperatures are expected tomorrow. Highs will be around 40° in the afternoon with more sun than clouds. A cold front will move through late Wednesday and cause a shift in the weather pattern for the rest of the week.
Temperatures will be slightly cooler on Thursday behind the passage of the cold front. Highs will be in the low 30s, and a chance of light snow will begin in the late afternoon/early evening hours. By early Friday morning, less than an inch of snow is expected across the region. Friday will be much colder, with highs only reaching the mid teens.
Highs will climb back into the 30s for the weekend. The next chance of precipitation will be Sunday into early Monday, when a rain/snow mix will impact the area.
