Warmer, drier weather expected into the weekend

A change in the weather pattern will enable warmer and drier weather to make its way to Pennsylvania into the weekend.

Highs are expected to climb to the mid to upper 70s this weekend in Harrisburg, AccuWeather reports. By Sunday, the high will be back in the 80s.

A temperature struggle next week will likely mean the return of rainy weather.

“For much of New England, upstate New York, the central and northern Great Lakes and even a large part of the mid-Atlantic coast, a battle zone is likely to set up,” according to the report. “Warmer air from the Midwest and the South will occasionally move in to this swath, only to be pushed back before too long as cool air from the north and east fights back.”

As a result of that back-and-forth temperature pattern, more unsettled weather is possible into next week. Rain isn’t expected every day, but AccuWeather anticipates at least a shower every every two out of three days, and a soaking rain maybe one out of every three days.

A battleground of warm and cooler temperatures will likely mean more rain for Pennsylvania next week.
