For the second week in a row, a nor’easter has touched down in New Jersey, and it’s bringing a significant snowfall with it. 

How much, you ask? 

Well, let’s take a look. All graphics courtesy of the National Weather Service in Mount Holly. 

NJ WEATHER: What we know so far about today’s nor’easter

Snow

Here is the current predicted forecast: 

So as you can see…

  • The northern areas of the state like Morris and Bergen counties will get hit the hardest with: 12-18 inches
  • Central Jersey areas like Middlesex County can expect: 8-12 inches
  • Freehold and the inland Monmouth County area can expect: 6-8 inches
  • Coastal Monmouth County can expect even less: 1-3 inches
  • Coastal Ocean County areas like Toms River can expect: Less than 1 inch

NJ WEATHER: Heavy snow is burying NJ and it’s only going to get worse

Now here’s the worst case scenario for the storm…

So as you can see…

  • The northern areas of the state like Morris and Bergen counties will get hit the hardest with: 15+ inches
  • Central Jersey areas like Middlesex County can expect: 14 inches
  • Freehold and the inland Monmouth County area can expect: 12 inches 
  • Coastal Monmouth County can expect: 4 inches
  • Coastal Ocean County areas like Toms River can expect: 7 inches

The chances that we get at least 6 inches of snow
