We are starting the work week dry with a partly cloudy to mostly cloudy sky expected for today. High temperatures will be in the middle to upper 70s. It will be slightly humid.
Tonight a weak boundary will slowly move south across Iowa. This will provide a few showers in our northern counties.
The chance of showers or an isolated thunderstorms will continue across eastern Iowa throughout the day Tuesday. Coverage will not be widespread, and there will be plenty of dry time with a mostly cloudy sky. Rainfall will generally be 0.10″ to 0.25″.
Tuesday is the start of an active weather pattern, as we track several storm system across the Midwest. The better chance of rain will be across southern Iowa Wednesday.
Partly cloudy skies are expected Thursday before another chance of showers and thunderstorms Thursday night into Friday, then again Friday night through Saturday night. It will be warmer and more humid, so we will have to keep an eye on any severe weather potential into the weekend.
