OVERNIGHT, STRONG STORMS. TONY MAINOLFI JOINS US RIGHT NOW. A LITTLE BIT OF A BREEZE WE’RE FEELING. TONY: THE CAMERA IS JUMPING AROUND A LITTLE BIT. WINDS SUSTAINED AT 13, GUSTS OVER 20 MILES AN HOUR. THERE’S THE COMPLEX OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS THAT WE HAVE BEEN MONITORING AS IT’S COMING THROUGH THE EASTERN — INTO THE EASTERN GULF OF MEXICO. BIG EXPLOSION, BRIGHT WHITE CLOUDS AND UNDERNEATH THEM, A SOLID LINE OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS. WATERS ARE COOLER, ONCE THE STORMS MOVE TOWARDS THE EASTERN SIDE OF THE GULF OF MEXICO. SO WE’LL HAVE TO WAIT AND SEE IF THAT’S A CALMING INFLUENCE ON THIS GOOD LOOKING LINE OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS. IT APPEARS TO BE SHAKING OUT THAT WAY UP NORTH BUT HERE TO THE WEST STILL A LOT OF THUNDERSTORMS. ROUGHLY ABOUT 75 MILES TO THE WEST OF DUNNELLON MOVING AT ABOUT 25 MILES AN HOUR SO THAT COULD PUT IT INTO PLAY WITHIN ABOUT THREE, 3 1/2 HOURS SO WE’LL WATCH THE TRENDS ON THAT. CLOSER TO HOME, AHEAD OF THE MAIN LINE, WE’VE HAD A COUPLE OF SHOWERS RAPIDLY DEVELOPING ON THE EAST AND SOUTHEAST SIDE OF LAKE APOPKA SO WE’LL WATCH OCOEE AND SOUTH APOPKA, A COUPLE OF SHOWERS HEADING YOUR WAY AND THE MODELS ARE PICKING UP ON THAT AND USUALLY WHEN IT DOES THAT, IT HAS A GOOD FEEL FOR WHAT’S COMING IN OFF THE GULF OF MEXICO. 1:00 TO 2:00 IN THE MORNING, OCALA TOWARDS THE VILLAGES. THE LINE COMES TOGETHER BETWEEN 2:00 AND 4:00. DELAND TOWARDS THE LEESBURG AREA. THAT LINE OF STORMS PRESSES EASTWARD UP AND DOWN INTERSTATE 4 FROM 5:00 TO 6:00 P.M. AND BUILDS EAST DEEPER INTO THE MORNING AND A SECONDARY LINE COULD BE DEVELOPING WITH THE COLD FRONT. SO WE MIGHT GET A QUICK ONE-TWO PUNCH BUT THE OVERALL TIMING, 1:00 TO 4:00, 4:00 TO 7:00 AND 7:00 TO 11:00. BY EARLY AFTERNOON WE’LL BE IN BETTER SHAPE. FOR ME AS I SEE IT, WINDS THE BIG CONCERN. STRONGEST WINDS, HIGH, 40-PLUS. SEVERE WINDS, 58 MILE-AN-HOUR-PLUS WINDS. THERE IS A MEDIUM CHANCE FOR THOSE SO WE’LL PROBABLY GET ONE OR TWO ISOLATED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNINGS. TORNADO AND HAIL THREATS ARE LOW WITH THE TIMING OF THESE STORMS. A WARM START, UPPER 60’S TO NEAR 70 DEGREES. YELLOW IMPACT ICON MEANS TRAVELING ON THE ROAD WITH WIND AND RAIN AND THUNDER PROBABLY NOT THE BEST BUT IMPROVING INTO THE AFTERNOON. THERE’S A LOOK AT THURSDAY. THERE’S A LOOK AT FRIDAY. WE HAVE ABSOLUTELY GLORIOUS WEATHER ON THE BACKSIDE OF THIS STORM SYSTEM AS WE GET YOU INTO FRIDAY, SATURDAY AND SUNDAY. LET’S TAKE A LOOK AT THE UPDATED SEVEN-DAY FORECAST. SHOWERS AND STORMS, 70% COVERAGE FIRST HALF OF THE DAY. FRIDAY, GORGEOUS, LOW HUMIDITY. A LITTLE MORE HEAT AND HUMIDITY BACK END OF THE WEEKEND AND HEAT IS ON MONDAY, TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY, JUMPING INTO THE 90’S. COMING UP IN THE NEXT HALF HOUR, WE’LL L
