Saturday’s Weather 7/7 – MYNDNOW

0

Today was hot and it’ll stay warm for tonight. Luckily, you won’t see too many 90s on the map tomorrow. That will be due to a passing cold front coming into the area on Saturday night. This will enable a chance of severe weather with a slight risk at this time for much of the central part of the state. The timing holds a lot of uncertainty since a few of the models do not agree. We do know that the biggest threats will be golf ball sized hail and wind gusts of around 65 mph. Sunday will return back into the 80s, but the dew points will still be high. So you can expect to see humid conditions over the next couple of days. It will also stay on the dry side (with the exception of this Saturday night) for this week. As the pressure gradient tightens some days will be windier than others — such as on Tuesday since another threat of storms will exist over North Dakota — afterwards dry conditions and hot temperatures are expected with an above average week expected. An average high temperature is in the 80s and lows around the lower to mid 50 degrees.

Saturday night, winds north and light and lows in the 60s. A chance of severe storms are possible with large hail and damaging winds to be the biggest threats — overnight.

Sunday, highs in the upper 80s — a few 90s may be possible — with a few clouds. Winds north and between 5-10 mph. A few AM showers and thunderstorms may still be possible in the morning.

Sunday night, mainly clear skies and lows in the lower 60s. Winds northeast then shifting east at 5-10 mph.

Monday, sunny skies and winds east at 5-10 mph with lows in the 80s.

Monday night, a mostly clear sky — and a few areas may see showers and thunderstorms. Lows in the 60s. Winds, breezy and east.
