ZIONSVILLE, Ind. (WISH) — The City of Zionsville is lifting spirits by bringing out its Christmas tree in April.
Instead of white lights, the tree is decked out in rainbow lights. The change in decor is meant to symbolize hope, like a rainbow after a storm — a fitting symbol during the current public health crisis.
The tree is also acting as a “giving tree” where residents can find lists of needed items from Boone County nonprofits. Residents are welcome to go online to donate.
People are encouraged to see the tree, but the chamber of commerce is asking visitors to remain six feet away from others and to not touch the ornaments.
