ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — After several dry days, there’s a slightly better chance of a few scattered showers and thunderstorms today.
Today’s rain chance is 30 percent.
It will be breezy and hot again with high temperatures in the low 90s.
An east/northeast wind is 10 to 20 mph.
After a chance of an evening shower or storm, tonight will be partly cloudy with low temperatures in the 70s.
Friday will be breezy with increasing clouds and a better rain chance.
Rain chances will increase Friday and this weekend as we monitor a tropical wave currently in the Bahamas.
A tropical depression could form near Florida during the next couple of days.
Regardless of development, deeper moisture will move across the state and our rain chances will be higher Friday and this weekend.
