National Weather Service eyes tropical disturbance in Caribbean


The National Weather Service is keeping tabs on a tropical disturbance near the coast of Belize.

The weather agency predicts the disturbance will move slowly north this week with a 60 percent chance to develop into a tropical cyclone during the weekend.

Effects from the developing cyclone will be felt east of southeast Texas.
