WITH FAMILIES MAKING THE BEST OF THE SUNNY SATURDAY. NO SHORTAGE OF PEOPLE OUT AND ABOUT ON THIS FIRST DAY OF AUGUST DURING THE PANDEMIC, ENJOYING WHAT THEY CAN, WHERE THEY CAN. >> MOSTLY OUTDOORSY. THE OUTDOORS IS WHERE YOU GET NATURE FROM AND WHERE YOU DO MOSTLY EVERYTHING IN YOUR LIFETIME. >> WE HAVE FED THE DUCKS, GOT CHASED BY THE DUCKS. >> IT’S FUN AND HOT. >> GEORGE LEE AND HIS DAUGHTER AREN’T ALONE. OTHER FAMILIES, ESCAPING TO A PARK SETTING WHERE THEY CAN SPEND THEIR SATURDAY. >> WE PACKED LUNCH AND BROUGHT SOME STUFF. HOOPS, BALLS AND THINGS, JUST TO GET OUT AND ENJOY THE SUN. >> PLAYING BALL, HIDE AND SEEK. >> WE ARE BLOWING BUBBLES, PLAYING THIS TOSS GAME. AND WHEN WE PLAYED HIDE AND SEEK I HID BEHIND A TREE AND MY SISTER COULDN’T FIND ME. >> GETTING OUT TO PLAY NOT JUST IN THE BACKYARD OR FRONT YARD. EVEN THOUGH WE AREN’T AT A PLAYGROUND. >> OF COURSE, THERE ARE ACTIVITIES THAT ARE MISSED RIGHT NOW. >> BOYS NORMALLY HAVE SWIM LESSONS AND WE WOULD GO TO A FRIENDS HOUSE. >> GOING TO SCHOOLS AND PLAYING WITH MY FRIENDS AND GYMNASTICS. >> I WOULD LOVE TO GO TO THE MALL. >> ME TOO. >> USUALLY, PLACES UNCOMFORTABLE GOING TO. LIKE SCHOOL IN MY AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAM. >> SOME OF THE FAMILIES WE SPOKE WITH EXPRESSED CONCERN OVER SEEING OTHERS IN PUBLIC NOT FOLLOWING PUBLIC HEALTH GUIDELINES, BUT THEY HAVE FOUND WAYS TO ADAPT. >> TRY TO KEEP ARTIS — KEEP OUR DISTANCE, OR IF WE GO TO THE PARK I HAD MASKS FOR THE BOYS AND MYSELF. >> AT THE END OF THE DAY, I’M GOING TO HAVE MY MAST ON. >> I JUST DO WHAT I DO TO KEEP MY FAMILY SAFE. >> IT’S JUST MAKING SURE OTHER PEOPLE ARE S
