A Hazardous Weather Outlook has been issued for Fairfield, New Haven, Middlesex, New London, Hartford, and Tolland counties for the potential of light freezing rain that could make travel slippery tonight and early Wednesday’s morning.

The National Weather Service says for Southern Connecticut that “a weak disturbance will track southeast of the region tonight. This may result in a few light freezing rain showers or patches of freezing drizzle late tonight into early Wednesday morning. Travelers are advised to monitor the latest forecast before heading out.”

For Hartford and Tolland counties, the weather service says, “Spotty light freezing rain/drizzle is possible late tonight along with areas of black ice…. This may impact the morning commute Wednesday.”

It looks like outside of some sun on Wednesday, we’re looking at a rainy Wednesday night, Thursday and Friday, according to the National Weather Service.

And a snow return this weekend? We’ll see.
