Frigid weather to continue Monday in Billings | Local

Temperatures in Billings won’t rise out of the single digits Monday, with wind chills as low as minus 20 expected to continue throughout the day.

Light, scattered snowfall is expected to continue this morning. That could exacerbate an already-hazardous morning commute in the region as around an inch of overnight snow could cover up icy spots on the roads, the National Weather Service’s Billings office warned Monday morning.

The high temperature is expected to reach 6 degrees before falling back into the negative single digits overnight. Tuesday will be warmer, with a high of 34 degrees and an overnight low of 26 in the forecast.

More snow could be on the way later this week. Beginning Wednesday around noon and ending Thursday morning, up to two inches of snow is possible in Billings, according to NWS predictions.
