Confirmed Tornado Thursday…
Severe weather rolled through the area on Thursday causing some dangerous and damaging flooding. A confirmed tornado also caused damage near Ossian, IA in Southern Winneshiek County. The NWS surveyed the damage and decided the tornado was an EF-0, with winds up to 80mph. No injuries have been reported! Damage is mostly to rural farm buildings and trees.

Cool Friday…
Temperatures on Friday were very fall-like all thanks to last night’s cold front. Highs ranged from the low to upper 60s. We saw mostly cloudy skies but the sun broke through at times. The breezy conditions will die down this evening and temperatures will be in the low 60s. Great night for some Friday Night Lights!

Warmer Saturday…
Highs on Saturday will be about 10 degrees warmer than Friday, in the upper 70s. We should see plenty of sunshine in the morning giving way to some afternoon clouds. Humidity levels climb a bit as well. It will be a nice day, get out and enjoy it!  Thunderstorm chances return late Saturday into early Sunday morning.

Temperature Roller Coaster…
Temperatures will generally be in the 80s for most of next week starting on Sunday. A few days of mid 80s and sunshine are expected for the start of the week, followed by lower 80s and isolated t-storms Wednesday and Thursday. Humidity levels will be high for most of the extended forecast. We can’t say goodbye to summer!

Have a great Friday Night!
